History of Ambleside A Charlotte Mason Education
Teachers at Ambleside are creative, thoughtful, engaged learners with broad interests and educational knowledge. They enjoy ideas, read regularly, and are passionate about faith and learning. They pursue relationship with Christ and are called to shepherd their students spiritually as well as academically. In addition to classroom observation and weekly training, all our teachers complete a week-long intensive training through Ambleside Schools International, with whom we enjoy a formal affiliation.

We are currently looking for the following volunteer positions for the 2024-25 school year NOW: 

  • Physical Conditioning Teacher – 2 hrs per week, Monday Afternoons only
    (projected to develop into a paid part-time position)
  • Art Teacher – 2 hrs per week, Wednesday Afternoons only
    (projected to develop into a paid part-time position)
  • Administrative Assistant – 10 hrs per week, Mon-Fri mornings only (projected to develop into a paid part-time position)

 

We are currently projecting the following faculty & staff needs for the 2025-26 school year: 

  • Kindergarten Teacher – Part Time, Monday through Friday
    (Kindergarten is a half-day class with approximately 10-12 students)
  • 1st-2nd Grade Teacher – Full Time, Monday through Friday
    (1st-2nd is a combined class with approximately 10-12 students)
  • 3rd-4th Grade Teacher – Full Time, Monday through Friday
    (3rd-4th is a combined class with approximately 10-12 students)
  • 5th-6th Grade Teacher – Full Time, Monday through Friday
    (5th-6th is a combined class with approximately 10-12 students)
  •  7th-8th Grade Teacher – Full Time, Monday through Friday
    (7th-8th is a combined class with approximately 10-12 students)
  • HS Algebra/Intro. Physics Teacher – Part Time, Monday through Thursday
    (High School class has approximately 5-6 students)
  • Spanish Teacher – Approx. 9-10 hrs per week across three days
  • Handwork Teachers – Approx. 5-6 hrs per week across two days
  • Art Teacher – Approx. 5-6 hrs per week across two days
  • Physical Conditioning Teacher – Approx. 5-6 hrs per week across two days
  • Administrative Assistant – 20 hrs per week, Mon-Fri mornings only
